About McCormick & Argo

McCormick is a leading brand from Argo Tractors who manufacture over 24,000 tractors each year. Argo Tractors are part of the Argo Group who remain owned by the Morra family.

Argo have made significant investment in the McCormick brand with a range of tractors available from 35-200HP and 4 and 6 cylinders.

McCormick is a long established brand and was part of International Harvester (IHC) and purchased the Doncaster site in 1938. The first tractor built at this factory was the McCormick Farmall M which appeared in 1949. The McCormick brand originally stopped appearing on new tractors in 1972.

In 1985 Case purchased some of the assets of IHC and rebranded the range as Case International.

In 1999 Case merged with New Holland but regulatory authorities made CNH sell the Doncaster plant, the C, CX and MXC, as well as the engineering know-how of the MX Magnum range

Argo SPA purchased the plant in 2000 and re-established the McCormick brand. Production in Doncaster continued until 2007.

The latest generation of tractors from McCormick offers enhanced reliability and performance, holding true to the values and principles that have made McCormick a world leader in tractor manufacturing.
